George Stephens developed a plan for a streetcar suburb on his father-in-law’s (John Spring Myers) farm in 1905. The neighborhood was designed by the Harvard-trained landscape architect, John Nolen, and work was underway by 1911.
Myers Park is distinguished for its winding tree-lined streets, large historic homes and architectural variety. Due to its landscaped beauty, it is one of the most-visited parts of Charlotte.
For those short on time, a simple drive through the neighborhood is worthwhile in order to view the large, historic mansions along the main streets.

Come home to this grand yet cozy splendid vintage home on an elevated, deep, private, lavishly landscaped lot on the most beautiful street in Charlotte (with great school assignments!). Walk or ride your bike to Freedom Park and the Sugar Creek Greenway. Minutes from Uptown, I-277, fine restaurants, major shopping and the hospitals. 2001 addition by Steve Kaleel. "Drunken" brick, stucco, stone, and wood exterior. Clay tile permanent roof. Two-car garage with lift and 3-car Carport. Main floor Home Office. Covered Porch with stone fireplace. 19th century French gated entrance. Commercial grade copper gutters and downspouts. 3 hvac systems, new main floor furnace 12/20. Exterior walls unusually thick and filled with concrete for ultra-quiet living experience. Many beautiful details. More!
